  1. How do I register as a new Buyer or Seller on LETTA.com.au?

    Becoming a member of LETTA.com.au is simple and free.  Click on the link on the LETTA.com.au homepage and simply fill-in your details.  In a few minutes you will be able to contact sellers of used scientific equipment and create your own advertisements to sell your own surplus equipment.
       
  2. How do I Buy equipment on LETTA.com.au?

     Buying used scientific equipment on LETTA.com.au couldn't be simpler.

        Step 1:

        You will need to become a member of LETTA.com.au - click here.

        Step 2:

        Once you're a member of LETTA.com.au, go to our homepage and click on
        "I Want to Buy" - click here.  You will then have two options to find used
        scientific equipment:
                 
    • You can create a customised search using a variety of parameters to find what you are looking for (for example, search by name, equipment category, manufacturer, model or price range).
                 
    • Alternatively, you can simply search through our various listed categories to find what you are looking for.
         
        Step 3:

        Once you have found an item you want buy, you can contact the seller via
        LETTA.com.au to get more details and negotiate a sale directly.         ^TOP^

  3. How do I Sell equipment on LETTA.com.au?

        Selling used scientific equipment via LETTA.com.au couldn't be easier.   

        Step 1:    

        You will need to become a member of LETTA.com.au - click here.
       
        Step 2:

        Go to our homepage and click on "I Want to Sell".  You will be taken to your 'My Account' section.  You will be able to:           
             
    • Change your Account Details or Password.       
    • Create a New Classified.       
    • View your Current Classified Listing(s).       
    • Report a Sale and pay your Commission Fee.   
       
        Step 3:

        How do I Create a New Classified?
         
    • Click on the 'Create a New Classified' link.   
    • Complete the details of the item you want to sell.  It is useful to add as much detail as possible to ensure that you draw attention from potential buyers.   
    • Upload an image of the item (if available).  Use a simple and clear digital image - large images will be rejected.   
    • Add a detailed description of the item.  Include details of the instrument/item, any recent servicing, general condition and any special features.   
    • Add the price and where applicable, tick the check box to include GST to the sale price.   
    • Tick to accept LETTA.com.au's Terms and Conditions of sale.   
    • Tick to accept to pay LETTA.com.au the Listing Fee of $5.50 (inc GST) per item.   
    • Tick to accept to pay LETTA.com.au 9.7% (inc GST) of the advertised price upon the successful sale or disposal of the goods.   
    • Click NEXT to proceed to Listing Confirmation.   
    • Carefully check the details listed in the classified.  If you want to change any of the details, you can return to the Item description page and alter the classified.  If you are happy with your classified, you can tick the checkboxes agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and proceed to the ANZ Easy Payment Gateway to pay your Listing Fee of $5.50 (inc GST).   
    • You can pay the listing fee securely using the credit card options listed.   
    • LETTA.com.au will then send an electronic receipt statement to your E-mail address as proof of payment.                                            ^TOP^
           
        How do I Edit a Current Classified?     
             
    • Go to My Account and select My Listings.       
    • All your current items advertised on LETTA.com.au will be listed.       
    • Select the item you wish to edit and click Edit Listing.       
    • You have the option of deleting or altering your classified.  PLEASE NOTE:  YOU CAN ALTER THE ADVERTISED PRICE, HOWEVER THE SUCCESS FEE YOU AGREED TO PAY WHEN CREATING YOUR ADVERTISEMENT WILL NOT DECREASE IF YOU LOWER YOUR ADVERTISED PRICE.  IF YOU INCREASE THE PRICE OF YOUR ADVERTISED ITEM, THE SUCCESS FEE WILL INCREASE (9.7% OF THE ADVERTISED PRICE)       
    • Once you have altered your classified, you need to agree to the Terms and Conditions and payment agreements.       
    • Select NEXT to accept the edited classified.  Your classified will be altered and available for buyers to view.                                            ^TOP^
         
        How do I Report a Sale and Pay my Success Fee to LETTA.com.au?   
             
    • Go to My Account and select Report a Sale and Pay Commission Fee.       
    • Check the item(s) that you want to report as sold and then pay the Success Fee to LETTA.com.au.       
    • You can pay by either selecting Pay by Credit Card or Pay by Direct Deposit.       
    • If paying by credit card then click the Report Sale button to proceed to pay using the various credit card options.       
    • LETTA.com.au will then send an electronic statement to your E-mail address as proof of payment.       
    • To Pay by Direct Deposit transfer the funds to the LETTA bank account details listed.  Please include your reference number in the transaction record when completing the direct deposit.       
    • Upon receipt of payment, your advertisement will be automatically deleted from the LETTA.com.au website.                                        ^TOP^    
     
  4. How much does it cost to advertise my equipment on LETTA.com.au?

        To place a classified on LETTA.com.au, there are two fees payable:
             
    • Listing fee ($5.50 inc GST).  This is a flat fee for all advertisements on the LETTA.com.au website.   The Listing Fee is payable at the time of creating your advertisement and is not refundable.  Your advertisement will not be placed on the LETTA.com.au website without successful payment of the Listing Fee.  Upon paying the Listing Fee, your advertisement will be listed on LETTA.com.au for up to 60 days (or earlier if you successfully sell your item).       
    • Success fee (9.7% inc GST of the advertised sale price).  This fee only applies to items advertised for greater than $50.00 and when you successfully sell, give away or dispose of your equipment.  For example, if you advertise and sell an item for $500.00, you will have to pay LETTA.com.au $48.50 (inc GST) upon successful sale of the item.  If you are unable to sell your item or cancel your advertisement, you will not be liable to pay the Success Fee.                                                                                ^TOP^
